The Golden Triangle with Haridwar 8 Days

DAY 1: DELHI Welcome to India!! Upon arrival and after you exit from the International Airport, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 2: DELHI-JAIPUR
Today after breakfast, proceed for a half-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid and then enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Visit Red Fort, drive past the President’s House, India Gate and several other government buildings. Head to Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutab Minar. Then drive to Jaipur (256kms.,) check into the hotel and relax.

DAY 3: JAIPUR
Today after breakfast, proceed for a half-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid and then enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. DAY 4: JAIPUR-AGRA
After breakfast you will drive to Agra (235kms);en- route visit FatehpurSikri. Upon arrival check intothe hotel and relax.

DAY 5: AGRA-DELHI
After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Agra.Visit the Agra Fort. The beautiful yet melancholy structure is a fine-looking example of Mughal architecture. Later, visit the TajMahal a mausoleum built by devoted husband Emperor Shah Jehanfor his beloved wife and queen MumtazMahal.Then, visit Itmad- Ud – Daula, known as the “Baby Taj”; close to the Yamuna River. You will then visit Sikandra, a mausoleum, to the great Emperor Akbar. Akbar designed his own mausoleum as a perfect blend of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist and Jain designs in keeping with his religious broadmindedness and worldly views.Evening drive back to Delhi (205kms.)

DAY 6: DELHI-HARIDWAR
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar (200kms.) Arrive & check into the hotel and in the afternoon take a half-day city tour of Haridwar,“The Gateway to the Gods,” also considered as one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology. The town is the gateway to three other famous pilgrimages of Uttrakhand … Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Visit the sacred Ghat, Har-Ki-Pauri. Drive past the bathing ghats where pilgrims take a dip and where it is believed that all your sins get washed away Thenvisit the Mansadevi Temple. This temple atop the BilwaParvat offers a panoramic view of Haridwar, the Ganges, and the countryside.

DAY 7: HARIDWAR-RISHIKESH-HARIDWAR
Today after breakfast, drive for about 20kms for a half-day excursion tour of Rishikesh, one of the holiest cities in India. Rishikesh is not just linked to religion, but also for its stunning landscapes. Surrounded by the Shivalik Range on three sides, with the River Ganga flowing through it, Rishikesh is truly a Godly experience. Visit the LakshmanJhula, a suspended bridge across the Ganga. Legend has it that Lakshman crossed a bridge made of jute ropes here. The scenery is beautiful with its mountains, the temples, ashrams and the River Ganga. Later, visit Muni-ki-Reti, the sands of the sages also known for the many ashrams in the area. The Beatles too visited the now closed Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram here in the sixties. Drive back to Haridwar (20kms.)

DAY 8: HARIDWAR-DELHI
After breakfast drive (208kms.) to Delhi for your onward flight home.
