DAY 1: SRINAGAR
On your arrival in Srinagar, you will be welcomed and taken on a shikara ride ( type of wooden boat found on Dal Lake,) to your houseboat. In the evening set out for a shikara cruise on Dal Lake. Return and relax.

DAY 2: SRINAGAR
After breakfast proceed on a half day city tour; visit the Mughal Gardens- Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Next visit Chasmashahi and Pari Mahal. Have the opportunity to visit Shankaracharya Temple 5 kms. away on a hill called Takht-e-Suleiman. Across the city is the Hari Parbat Fort built by Emperor Akbar. Next visit the temple of goddess Sharika, the shrine of Muslim saint Makhdoorn Sahib, and the historic Sikh Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi.

DAY 3: SRINAGAR-PAHALGAM
After breakfast in the houseboat, drive (95kms.) to Pahalgam; en route visit Saffron fields (‘kesar’) and Avantipura ruins. Arrive Pahalgam, check into the hotel and later choose to ride a pony or walk to the famous Mini-Switzerland.
Return to the hotel, after sunset and relax.

DAY 4: PAHALGAM-GULMARG
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (152kms.,) check into the hotel and relax.

DAY 5: GULMARG-SRINAGAR
After breakfast enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) in Gulmarg. Then on your own enjoy some adventurous activities or unwind in the beautiful nature all around you. Later in the afternoon drive back to Srinagar (55kms.) check into the hotel, and relax.

DAY 6: SRINAGAR-SONAMARG-SRINAGAR
After breakfast drive (80kms.) for a day excursion trip to Sonamarg. Sonamarg, situated at a height of 2,740 m is a small and beautiful hill resort. Sonamarg literally means the ‘Meadow of Gold’ due to the flowers that wraps the meadow in the spring. Sonamarg is the last major point in Kashmir before the Zoji La pass into Ladakh. Then drive to Sonamarg through Sindh. Sonamarg passes along several mountain lakes like, Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar and Gangabal. Sonamarg is also the base for the Amarnath Yatra. Ride a pony up to Thajiwas glacier in the summer months. Drive back (80kms.) and relax.

DAY 7: SRINAGAR
After breakfast check out of the hotel for your onward journey. |
