DAY 01: Arrive Delhi
Welcome to India!! Upon arrival and after you exit from the International Airport, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 02: Delhi
Morning after breakfast, visit Old and New Delhi, with a tour of India Gate, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Gandhi Memorial, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and drive past Parliament & the President’s House.

DAY 03: Delhi/Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Evening free to explore the city.

DAY 04: Jaipur
Enjoy your breakfast and then climb Amber Fort on an elephant. Later visit the Hawa Mahal, Royal Observatory, City Palace, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli and Johari Bazar etc.

DAY 05: Jaipur/Agra
After breakfast, we will drive to Agra en-route visiting the old deserted town of the Mughal Dynasty i.e. Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. Later explore Agra Fort & the world famous spectacular Taj Mahal, also enlisted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

DAY 06: Agra/Varanasi
After breakfast, fly to Varanasi, and check into the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Sarnath and the famous Dhamekh Stupa. Enjoy just being in the place where Buddha preached his first sermon enshrining the principles of his teachings into laws.

DAY 7: Varanasi
At dawn enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges. Return for breakfast and then go on a city tour visiting Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple etc.

DAYS 8 and 9: Varanasi/Bodhgaya
After breakfast each morning, go on excursions to Rajgir/ Nalanda Sapta Pari Cave and Venevamas. Come across many locales of Buddhist significance, i.e. Rajgir, an important Buddhist pilgrimage since the Buddha spent 12 years here, and the first Buddhist Council after Buddha attained Nirvana was held here, in Nalanda.

DAY 10: Bodhgaya/Vaishali/Kushinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Vaishali, a very special place for Buddhists where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon & announced his impending ” Nirwana”. Visit the majestic Ashoka Pillar, Lotus Tank, Chaumukhi & continue on to Kushinagar.

DAY 11: Kushinagar/Lumbini
Morning after breakfast, visit Mahanirvana Temple, the modern Japan/Srilanka Buddhist center & monasteries, then go on to Lumbini.

DAY 12: Lumbini/Kapilvastu/Sravasti/Balrampur
Morning after breakfast visit Ashoka’s Pillar (249 BC) rediscovered in 1890’s inside thick Sal Forest, a temple of Mayadevi, the ruins of an old monastery and some new stupas. Then in the afternoon, proceed to Balrampur visiting Sravasti where you will see the extensive ruins of this ancient city and also visit the Jetavana Monastery.

DAY 13: Balrampur – Lucknow
Morning after breakfast, take a city tour. Later continue to drive to Lucknow. On arrival check into hotel.

DAY 14: Lucknow
Morning after breakfast, take a city tour covering Imambara and Rumi Darwaza . In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the hotel.

DAY 15: Depart Delhi
After breakfast depart for the International Airport for your flight back home. |
